When you install either SystemSuite or Fix-It the only item set to load at boot time (by default) is memcheck.exe, which displays the AV Splash Screen while running a quick Master Boot Sector and Memory Scan. Memcheck.exe runs on bootup every time, even if the Real Time scanner is not installed. Memcheck should not cause any conflicts since it runs once at startup and then exits. The appearance of the splash screen does not indicate the Real-Time virus component is loaded. If there is a conflict with another program at startup, you can disable memcheck from loading in the Registry using the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run This should only be performed by advanced users.
