By default Norton monitors the Master Boot Record (MBR). System/Partition Commander both write directly to the MBR, when Norton see the activity on the MBR, it automatically classifies it as a BloodHound virus.
To prevent this you will need to disable Norton from monitoring the MBR.
To disable MBR monitoring option:
Double click on Norton's Icon in the SYSTRAY (bottom right hand corner of your screen)
Select CONFIGURE
Select FILE SYSTEM REAL TIME PROTECTION
Select ADVANCED
Select HEURISTICS
Uncheck ENABLE BLOODHOUND VIRUS DETECTION TECHNOLOGY.
NOTE: newer or older versions of Norton Anti Virus may require additional steps or may be worded differently. Please refer to your owners manual for instructions on how to disable the MBR Monitoring feature in the version you have installed.
