First, make certain you have downloaded all the latest security updates. You can do this from www.windowsupdate.com. If you still see a port as open, go to the list of applications section of the firewall settings. From there you can block applications to close this port. The typically culprits are windows system executables accessing the web.
I recently conducted a port scan test and it stated that all were secure except for one port. How can I close this open port? (KB002082)
